Splendido is a double-storey painted-brick house with white windows, black steel stair rails and a breeze-block screen wall, standing in a garden big enough to matter. The pool has softly curved corners and flagstone coping, with grey mesh loungers on the lawn beside it and a frangipani for shade. A timber cabinet sits under the trees for outdoor kit, and the sea lies past the boundary wall.
The main terrace takes a teak table for eight, aimed due west so dinner runs into the sunset. Around the corner a second terrace has a grey outdoor sofa and low black table behind a cable balustrade, the Twelve Apostles on one side and the pool below.
The dining room is pale and coastal: a light timber trestle table, white spindle-back chairs, three woven rattan pendants, a jute rug and tongue-and-groove panelling to dado height, with French doors to the terrace and sea filling the windows. The lounge alongside keeps a long cream sofa, an angular timber coffee table and a television, floor-length curtains framing the water. There is a snug as well, with a built-in bench and a round jute rug, and a window seat that looks down over the pool.
The kitchen is pale timber cabinetry with a concrete-topped island, metal-frame bar stools, a stainless extractor and a coffee machine, plus a second concrete-topped table for breakfast. One bedroom has a peach-and-white striped feature wall, a timber-framed king bed and an archway through to an open en-suite with twin basins. Another is quieter, with built-in wardrobes, a dressing table and reading lamps either side.
