A covered terrace has a stone-clad braai and fireplace built into the wall, and on a separate timber deck a white plastered wood-fired oven with a brick-arched mouth waits for pizza night. There is an outdoor shower too, on a timber-clad wall among the trees.
Pale oak floors and clerestory windows keep everything light. An entire glass wall slides away onto a deep covered terrace furnished with wicker sofas. A raw-edge timber table seats eight under a woven rattan pendant beside a stone chimney breast, and the lounge sits behind with a grey modular sofa, a sliced-log wall sculpture and carved African figures standing in the corner.
The kitchen keeps to white handleless units with timber shelving and baskets, and a butcher-block island with a gas hob and black bar stools. A separate games room holds a table tennis table, a fireplace, a television and a bodyboard leaning by the door.
One has a woven rattan headboard with botanical cushions and a long high window that frames the mountain from the pillow. Another opens by sliding door straight onto the lawn, with wicker armchairs, a jute pouffe and a ceiling fan overhead.
